The Academy of Sacred Drama is an artistic and intellectual community that is revitalizing culture through the exploration of sacred dramatic music. Oratorio performances and salon concerts feature the music and libretti of works rarely or never heard in modern times accompanied by lectures and refreshments. Editions and translations are created for Academy performances, and the open-license publication of these works makes them accessible to ensembles and audiences. The Academy Journal is an open-license publication about culture, music, and religion designed around the Academy’s yearly themes. Academy activities enable encounters with the stories of Christianity and other Abrahamic religions and offer a path toward inter-religious dialogue and Christian unity.

The Academy is a not-for-profit corporation in the State of New York and is federally recognized as a tax exempt public charity under IRC Section 501 (c) (3). Donations are tax deductible.
